Full-Stack Software Engineer & Developer with years shipping production software, from frontends and backends to cloud, real-time systems, and CI/CD. Naturally curious, comfortable across stacks, and open to software engineering, full-stack, and game development roles alike.
I'm Zaid Wajid, a full-stack software engineer and developer with years shipping production-grade software across web, backend, cloud, and real-time systems. I write clean, maintainable code and enjoy moving fluidly between frontend, backend, and tooling.
I'm a genuinely curious developer. I pick up new languages, frameworks, and stacks quickly and I love figuring out how things work under the hood. Unity and C# / .NET are my primary stack and where I'm strongest (Unreal Engine / Blueprints intermediate). I'm equally at home in general software engineering roles and actively open to opportunities across web, backend, full-stack, and product engineering.
Why games until now? Because a single shipped game forces you through almost every discipline a software engineer needs: architecture, real-world math, networking, cloud backends, persistence, payments, tooling, and tight performance work. It was the fastest path to broad, production-grade experience, and the same muscles map directly to backend, full-stack, and product roles.
Most recently completed a mandatory internship as Software Developer at Mindport GmbH (Germany, Feb–Jun 2026), leading the IMGUI to UIToolkit architecture migration for VR Builder. Previously Lead Software Engineer at Yugijitsu, architecting real-time client-server systems and shipping "Museums of History" on Steam. Deeply comfortable in Unity, C# / .NET, real-time systems, and AWS backends, and quickly ramping on whatever a project demands.
A 3D stealth investigation game where you play as a granny in a nursing home, gathering photo and audio evidence to expose nurses who bully the residents and get them fired.
An immersive multiplayer open-world title where players explore meticulously recreated museums, interact with historical artifacts, solve puzzles, and collect virtual passport stamps. Released on Steam Early Access (Free to Play).
Led a bachelor student team at Hochschule Darmstadt to ship a polished psychological horror puzzle prototype where you manipulate light to control your shadow and hide your dark side from the Watchers.
A solo-developed FPS horror game built entirely from scratch. I handled story, game design, lighting, VFX, sound, puzzles, shaders, animations, and more. Uses Unity's UCC package with heavy customization.
A VR Spider-Man swinging prototype with physics mechanics built from scratch using Unity's default Rigidbody system. Features hand gesture controls via XR Interaction Toolkit.
A Unity 2D mobile game for learning Japanese Hiragana and Katakana letters and pronunciation through quiz-based gameplay. Built as a companion to Breakthrough Visual Novel.
A visual novel story game for learning different languages. Built in Unity with Firebase, Google Ads, Unity IAP subscriptions, and object-pooled recycling list views for optimized infinite scrolling at constant FPS on mobile.
Whether you need a software engineer with a game development focus, help with a VR project, or someone comfortable in any engine like Unity, Unreal, Godot, Panda3D, Three.js, or anything else across C++, C#, or Python, I'd love to hear from you. Let's build something amazing together.
